- Keep hallways and stairs well lit and clear of clutter to prevent falls.
- Use anti-slip rugs in the bathtub or shower.
- Secure TVs and furniture to the wall to prevent tip overs.
- Childproof electrical outlets and appliances.
- Closely supervise children in the bathtub and make sure the water temperature is right.
- Use the backburner of your stove to prevent children from grabbing pot handles.
- Install barriers around fireplaces, ovens, and furnaces.
- Install and test carbon monoxide alarms.
- Close toilet seat lids and use lid locks to prevent drowning.
